Borosilicate beaker BBW-16 for the cupellation parting process with nitric acid according to ISO11426

.Dimensions of the beaker are:  Ø 199 x Ø 95x H 80 mm and it is specially designed to fit the quarz parting and annelling basket QBR49.

Main characteristics of the beaker are:

• Withstands concentrated / boiling nitric acid attack.
• Low thermal expansion coefficient (αL = 3.3·10-6·K-1). Three times less linear expansion than ordinary glass.
• Low density and low thermal mass (Specific heat capacity 0.83 J / g·K)
•  Resists temperatures up to 500ºC
•  Softening point 820º C
• Thermal shock: Resists temperature differentials of up to165ºC (Ordinary glass resists temperature differential of only 37ºC)
